National Quality Framework

The National Quality Framework is a new integrated national approach to the regulation and quality assessment processes for long day care, family day care, outside school hours care, Pre-Prep and kindergarten services. In both 2012 and 2018 we were assessed against the National Quality Standards (NQS) which evaluates services in seven quality areas as well as providing an overall service assessment. We are proud to announce that our service was rated overall at 'Exceeding National Quality Standard' following both assessments. For more information on the National Quality Framework visit the Office of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Our staff are an experienced team of dedicated professionals who bring much expertise and creativity to their roles. They are all committed Early Childhood specialists who welcome and enjoy working with children and families. The staff work as a team each offering different ideas and interests to enhance children’s learning at our centre.

Our Kindergarten welcomes families and understands that teaching young children is about an active partnership between parents and staff. We encourage parent participation in many areas including management committees, parents on roster, working bees, parent information evenings and family social occasions. Each year new parents are always encouraged to become actively involved in our kindergarten community. Being involved in a community centre is such a rewarding experience and a chance to become involved in your local community.

Here at Bulimba Kindy we operate play based programs that cater to each individual child. Our program is designed around child initiated experiences that are developmentally appropriate and are underscored by the philosophy of Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline.

Environment and Facilities

Our buildings and playground are designed to suit the hands on learning experiences so important for young children. We provide indoor and outdoor environments that stimulate and encourage children to explore and investigate their world and facilitate their learning.

Healthy Food

Every part of the day is a learning experience for your child and food times are no exception.  We ask that children be provided with healthy food so that their bodies gain essential nutrients for growth and health. For more information and lunch box ideas please visit the Nutrition Australia website www.nutritionaustralia.org.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Bulimba Community Kindergarten recognises that children’s connection to their community is essential to their sense of belonging, and that Kindergarten plays a key role in cultivating relationships within the wider community. Over the past two years, the Kindergarten Co-directors and Management Committee has identified the need for the Kindergarten to strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families living in the local area— and that this relationship building is a priority for our service.
